This is the scam of all scams of attorneys I paid them well over 10 grand up front and before we even got close to a trial not even a trial date set they asked for money I initially asked for the break down of where the first deposit went and they would not provide that for me. To this day I get monthly emails from them asking for money. STAY CLEAR AT ALL COST save yourself time, money and headache. From my experience a local family lawyer that’s smaller maybe younger is the best way to go. These guys do not care about you they will bleed you dry.
Ryan currington was awesome to work with. With all the obstacles we had in our way I couldn’t have asked for a better guy on my side. Highly recommend not only him but the firm as well.
You’ll be better off representing yourself then wasting it on the time and money you will spend. From the way my case was handled… all the way to them telling me just accepted there offer, you have no more money fight. To the office that reads this, do not reply with a number to contact to see if we want to try something else. I called that number over a year ago and nobody ever called back.
I had to retain Cordell & Cordell on a moments notice. They immediately was concerned with the urgency of my situation and began within a few hours not only relieving my stress of the legal struggles, but also advising me how to take the next steps. Attorney Chantal Crawley of the Austin office has been very attentive and knowledgeable in my case. She has gone the extra mile at every turn. I would HIGHLY recommend not only Cordell & Cordell but also definitely recommend Mrs Crawley and the rest of the support staff. They have earned my trust regarding legal marital issues.
So, I’m near the end process of my divorce. Has it been expensive? Yes. Has it been worth it? Yes.
EDITED: Their response to reviews reflects the “individualized” representation you will receive- YOU WON’T! Retention specialists… there’s a reason they need a credit card up front. DO NOT USE… “C&C claims to be “father’s rights” firm and from what I’ve observed firsthand that is only a marketing strategy. Overpriced for legalzoom comparable services- no comprehensive strategy or aggressive client representation. Clients pushed through system and left feeling like their best interests were not represented. I would not recommend.”
I have yet to be represented in court, but their information supplying is very good. I hope to continue to experience good service throughout my case.

They want you to work around their schedules and don’t care about you have to miss work or even try to understand what is going on. But then again seems like that’s all the firms I have try to contact so I guess that’s par for the course
Very helpful advice regarding my divorce. Always responsive snd good about anticipating issues.
I do not recommend the services of this firm. I chose this firm because they objectively decided that my case was a good one to take (as the mother I have primary custody) and I felt that C & C could give me insight on how a father’s attorney would aggressively pursue the divorce proceedings. I blindly believed that they were acting in my interest, but they did not. One year after the divorce was finalized I took my former spouse back to court for what I felt was a violation of the agreement, using a second C & C attorney. My former spouse’s failure to pay was not actually a failure, but a clever loophole in the writing of my divorce degree. He was not obligated as a support payment, but failed on an optional benefit to me, even though the decree says “must.” It’s confusing to me, but clear that C & C failed me in two key ways: they failed to ensure that the original wording in the decree was airtight in my former spouse in honoring the agreement, and then when we filed for violation of the agreement they filed using the wrong language.
I cannot recommend this law firm enough. After 2 years of no results at the results of negligence my case has received, and previous cordell and cordell attorneys malpractice they came back and manipulated facts and flat out lied to try and recuse themselves of any financial liability, which im currently fighting. This is not a morally ethical company. Stay away.
After the nightmare of a lawyer I had before and years of being bullied by my ex and her lawyer while trying to represent myself, C & C (and especially Cassandra P.) have restored both my faith in lawyers and the legal system. Their rates, while not cheap, are exactly in line with any other given firm and they usually have several different lawyers with different rates for you to choose from.
