Melinda represented me in April 2024 and it took me some time to decide what to say, I think Melinda would benefit from a Ethics for lawyers continuing education program of some kind because she lied in court when I specifically asked her not to lie about facts in my case.
She cares deeply about her clients. Highest recommendation.
If I could leave zero stars I would. What a horrible attorney. After I retained her, I emailed and called SIX TIMES over the course of almost 2 weeks with NO RESPONSE. A hearing was coming up that she said she was going to reschedule but never did. Now I’m stuck representing myself at the hearing without an attorney. I emailed her to fire her and she replied within a couple of hours, of course. My child is literally in danger because of her. DO NOT HIRE HER!!!!!!!!
Melinda Brown is hands down the best attorney I could of had to represent me. I went through one of the worst years of my life with custody. She was ALWAYS available for any situation that arose and there was A LOT of situations with a ugly court battle. She gave my kids their life back. She means business, and will fight tooth and nail for you. I will recommend her to anyone I hear who needs a custody attorney.

Had an initial consultation with her and she said she would prepare the paperwork and send it over to me for review. Two weeks pass and nothing. Emailed and called with no response. 5 weeks go by and we finally get in contact and she said she’s been on vacation and had other pressing matters. Told me I can get another attorney. Why isn’t zero stars an option?
I called needing help with my case, I need someone to represent me, answer questions I have about my case, and how it may effect me in court, and what I needed to do with my restraining order, and the lady at the desk wouldn’t even listen to me. She kept telling me “I’m not understanding what you want Melinda to do, she has a retainer of $4,000”……… lady, I never said I didn’t want to pay a retainer, I never said any of that. I have questions (that obviously this lady couldn’t answer) and would like to speak with an attorney about my concerns…she then proceeded to tell me, “well I don’t know what to tell you, Melinda is booked out weeks, and I don’t know what your asking and what she can help you with”
Very unresponsive. When retainer was exhausted she quit. I’m very disappointed.
Melinda and her office staff are the best! Attorneys can be intimidating! I’ve had my share. But when I walked into her office that first day and met Stacy, her secretary, I knew I was in the right place. The legal issues I am going through, Melinda and her staff are making it a breeze. I highly recommend this law firm!
Took a long time to get to the end. But eventually got everything done. I am pleased with how it all turned out. Just wish it hadn’t taken so long. But with the current legal system it is a slow process. Melinda, Stacey and Donna were great though. Thanks.
