I dealt with Pete a year who was my lawyer during a divorce, my ex’s lawyer ate his breakfast, lunch and dinner. I felt intimidated by my ex and her lawyer the entire time, we paid a significant amount of money and the only thing in the end that Happened was I made my ex’s deal and she got exactly what she wanted 100%! I could have saved myself a significant amount of money and time if I would have made that same deal a year prior. I lost my house, got no equity payment for it etc I didn’t even get paperwork of who bought my house or for how much! Every time I went to Pete’s office you couldn’t keep his attention longer than 3 minutes due to constant interruptions. My ex’s lawyer was tech savvy, this intimidated Pete as Pete is not tech savvy at all, this was detrimental in my case as my ex’s lawyer knew Pete was not tech savvy and used it against him, Pete did nothing but play defense and even allowed my ex’s lawyer to back out of a preliminary agreement we made prior. She got what she wanted and then told the judge no agreement was made. In the end… Pete was looked at by the Cabell county court and my ex’s lawyer as an old guy from Boone County, now I have to pay for the poor decisions and poor legal guidance I received.
