This law firm will make false promises and assurances to you to get you to sign their contract and then after that, communication drops off (told I would be contacted the following week and it took over a month and several calls/emails until a response was received) and when they find out you’re not willing to make the ridiculous decision to travel to another state to litigate for a whiplash injury (after they tell you this was very unlikely to happen with the circumstances of my accident and only 3% of their cases require litigation), they will invent an excuse to drop your case. I was a passenger in a rideshare accident and did not have the personal funds to seek further medical care past my initial urgent care visit and Sears Law coerced me into doing so by telling me they can’t take my case unless I sought further medical care, but they assured me “we’re not here to have you rack up higher bills that you’ll have to pay out of pocket for.” That’s exactly what they did. There was not even an attempt made at sending a letter of demand or other advocation for myself and the fellow passenger after they found out we weren’t willing to sue in court if settlement was unsuccessful. I highly recommend having all communication through this firm (if you make the unfortunate decision to work with them) be in writing. Absolutely unprofessional.

I don’t understand why my experience was different from what everyone else posts about. I felt like there was very little communication, almost every time they called the last paralegal I worked with no longer worked there, and it was someone new who didn’t know about my case. I left several voicemails asking for an update or a call back if I had missed a call and took a month to actually get in contact since they were always unavailable to take the call. When asking questions about getting my car reappraised for value before and after damage, it took about a month to get that information back to me, which was already too late since I sold my car. I felt like there was no rush in service until it came to signing the paperwork, then I got an email 3 times a week asking me to sign, although I had questions about what to sign.
