I paid Ms. Ruchandani her flat rate that we agreed upon in writing for her to help me. She seemed very sympathetic and I used what I had to pay her for her services. She requested that I pay her for one additional hour for her to come to court with me. I agreed to this. When I told her I had not heard from the other side and asked if she would assist me, she asked for more money. She offered a consult for a separate matter, it was less than an hour and so she said it would be no charge since we were at the courthouse already and we talk for less than half an hour. When I asked again about contacting the other side, she said it would be too much work. She told me that I had to pay her hourly now for all of her work, instead of the flat fee just to contact the other side or I could get a refund by last Friday. I told Ms. Ruchandani to send me my refund because I could tell that she only wanted money from me and not to do work or help me. She said that she would not send me my refund and has intact refused to reimburse me the fee, unless I agreed to new terms that I would be charged for an extra hour. She now wants to charge me for the consult that she told me she would not charge for. She is refusing to give me my money unless I agreed to a new agreement that she did not claim to me earlier.
