Chris Schinstock was one of several attorneys I interviewed in order to pick a lawyer to handle my divorce case. My ex-wife refused to make it a simple case. We had a prenuptial agreement and I asked her to follow the Agreement and agree joint shared custody to avoid a big costly legal battle. I also told her she could avoid being adjudged an Adulterous wife in open Court. However, my ex was lawyer herself and was infuriated that I had the audacity to divorce her. So she did everything possible to make my life as well as the children’s lives as miserable as humanly possible and made up all kinds of libelous claims. Chris easily shot those claims down in Court. Chris is a phenomenal litigator and destroyed my ex-wife’s various attorneys arguments, motions, claims, etc. My ex-wife went through at least three (3) different attorneys and was CRUSHED every step of the way! We even had to go through an Appeal process and we won at that level too. In addition, Chris argued the case so effectively that I was awarded over $65,000 In legal fees in the judgment, I was awarded primary custody…I could have gotten sole custody if I had asked or pushed for it….disproved all her egregious allegations & my ex-wife was Adjudged an Adulterer (which is still a big deal legally in Virginia). As a courtesy to my children and my ex-wife I had the record sealed to minimize the emotional impact to our children but also help my ex-wife professionally as a lawyer.
