We met with Mr. Barrett and thought we finally had found an attorney we could trust and move forward with. After providing all the information that was asked from us we waited over a month without hearing a word from his office. When I contact them his assistant could not locate our file and then once she did she claimed that Mr. Barrett has changed his original payment plan arrangements with us. I requested a return call from him. Not more than five minutes later our credit reports were being pulled and the process was being started. It was clear our file had not been touched since we left payment and information with the office. I followed up two weeks later to find out they had mailed our petition to an old address pulled from a previous years tax return, his assistant blamed him for this mistake and offered to resend it. When I scheduled an in person appointment with Mr.Barrett (I still had not received a phone call back from him) she scheduled it but two days later we received all of our documents in the mail with a letter stating they would not represent us. The letter was signed by her and the check to refund our payment was not made out correctly so it could not be cashed. My 5 phone calls to the office have gone unanswered by Mr. Barrett. She claims he is out of town, in court, etc. I have even gone in person and I am treated so rudely it is unbelievable. These are mistakes made by their office, not us. We have wasted precious time and resources on this firm. I seriously don’t know if Mr. Barrett even knows what his assistant has done. If he does he should be ashamed.
