Absolutely a waste of time. I was referred through my EAP program and CLC membership! Was told I have an issue and can take it to court to prove it. Only to be told, it would be too time consuming and that he did not have time. I don’t understand how that can be an issue if someone is going to pay for your time and services.
I was referred to the Hixon Law Firm through my company EAP program and found the experience to be deeply demoralizing. I first spoke with the receptionist who took down my information and stated Mr. Hixon would follow up with me the same day, which he did not do. When he did finally contact me, he was terse, impatient, and rude: Our conversation over the phone lasted a total of 9 minutes, and it was abundantly clear that he had no interest in wanting to provide me with legal council, let alone representing me as a client. He did not express any concern for why I was seeking legal advice or ask me any concerned questions to better gauge my situation: It seemed like he was ready to be done with the conversation before it even began; as though it was an inconvenient formality he needed to get over with so he can collect whatever consultation fees the referring agency might provide him.
