These guys lost a $25,000 satisfaction document that I paid to be drafted and recorded. I followed up for months trying to get a response via email, but was ignored, at that point I had a bad feeling. Fast forward to today I go visit in person, I get a 5 minute convo and Andrew said I’m 100% sure we have it if it was turned in. Well it absolutely was, I hand delivered it myself. Fast forward to today, now they’re trying to gaslight me by saying Andrew wasn’t working at the time (I have emails proving he was) and stating that I never turned the original document in (even though I paid for it and have a receipt) and that if I wanted it recorded, to have the original signed and brought back to the office. What a joke. I’ve worked with almost every closing attorney in Greensboro in my real estate career, and NEVER had someone lose a document. ESPECIALLY one this important. Now I’m in a position where I may have to fight the holder of that lien against my property in court that it was actually satisfied. I’ll have it signed and notarized AGAIN, and will take it to the register of deeds myself. They make a $25,000 mistake of losing a satisfaction document, and then try to turn the situation back around on me? Lol.
