Do not EVER USE THIS FIRM. These lawyers are criminals! We sold our house in KDH and they were going to wire the funds to pay off my mortgage. Mr. Dixon was the buyer’s attorney. The funds were stolen and we had to continue to pay a mortgage on a house that we no longer owned. I found out that this was the second time in 2023 that this happened to Mr. Dixon!! He would not take our calls and acted like it was totally normal to just ignore people after he made a huge mistake. His front desk lady told us to never call their office again and they would “figure this out on their own time”. He tried to get insurance to pay for his errors and it got denied and then he miraculously recovered the money 4 months later after insurance would not pay and we had to hire an attorney to go after him. Now the mortgage is finally paid off but we are left with $4000 in attorney fees. He refused to pay anything else. The entire process was completely unfair. We did nothing wrong and ended up with a $4000 bill and had to pay a mortgage and insurance for 4 months on top of the next house mortgage and insurance that we bought. We have contacted the NC Bar to make a report on his malpractice. When I say run from this criminal, you better run. Don’t even allow the buyer of your house to use him. I truly believe he has a scheme where he “loses the funds” and tries to do insurance fraud. An investigation is warranted! Two times in a single year that this happens is insane. He is either a criminal or stupid.. either way you need to avoid at all cost!!!!
