We had a simple real estate transaction this past Spring. I never met Mr. Engelbrecht, but his office staff was the worst I have ever encountered at a business. We were never advised of a date to go to court to complete the house ownership sale, or to sign paperwork. The woman I spoke with was curt and defensive just requesting information. We had to get the information from our real estate agent. Once everything was completed, I went to the office to pick up the check from the sale and the same woman was talking to a young girl and totally ignored me me for about 2 minutes, finally saying “did you want something”? I noticed our last name was spelled incorrectly and mentioned it. She curtly said “let me see it”, then just wrote over the incorrect letter and initialed it. She said “if the bank gives you any problems you can call us”. No apology. Now, months later, comes to tax time and I call the office to inquire on something and same woman says “well, I don’t keep your file right on my desk, so I’ll have to pull the file and what’s your name and number so I can call you back?” This was last week. I still have not received a call. I don’t know who runs his office, but she is the worst I have ever encountered.
