I do not recommend this firm for representation to NYS Sales Tax with any problems. I contacted them in August of 2023 with a serious issue with NYS. Moshe took my call and we discussed the entire situation in great detail, over next few days. He advised me to file an offer in compromise guiding me through the process. Now this was done and filed with NYS. NYS took over a year to even look at it. once they looked at it I was informed we likely did not qualify. During this time, Moshe left the practice. I was left with Bradley Dorin. Over the next few weeks it was difficult at best to communicate with them, taking a great deal of time for response, never having anyone answer the phone. NYS insisted on some revised and updated paperwork to be filed within a week. I did so the very next day and submitted to Tennenbaum for submission. They failed to do so. It was 3 weeks later when I got copy of revised paperwork with many errors. By this time NYS closed the door on us and said we were not qualified to file this offer based on very basic status of our joint tax filing that was a very basic issue that should have been caught by “tax professionals”. The long and short of this is that Tennenbaum collected a fair sum of money from me to mis-represent our case to NYS. While NYS took over a year to respond, they continued to accrue interest and penalties. This added about $180,000 to my tax burden. I let Tennenbaum know I was unhappy to say the least and at least wanted my money back for their mis-handling of the case and was told this was not possible. Shame on them, while they did not put me in arrears with NYS they sure did DOUBLE the strain on me. This is not a good outcome. Beware of this firm. I do not trust them at all.
