I found myself in a bad situation after suffering a 6 month unpaid leave for a serious medical issue and a breakup and in need of an apartment. My credit had fallen some struggling to survive I can’t lie. Also I had some medical issues years ago I had been recovered from for years. Despite all that I have never been evicted or even seriously delinquent on rent and have been working since age 15 and on my own since 17. I had deposit in hand plus an extra months rent plus a return date to my 6 figure job but Peter made the judgement that I “lacked stability” and “he owned 1000 properties and he would not rent a single one to me.” A simple “unavailable” would have sufficed. I feel perhaps I was being judged for my socioeconomic background and never having been married or had children over my ability to pay rent. I am glad I am not giving him my money and I would strongly recommend no one else do so.
