I am writing this review because I am 100% satisfied with the service that was offered to me by Lubiner, Schmidt & Palumbo LLC. I was driving on Route 1 in Rahway (going South) one morning a few months ago and had gotten a speeding ticket for doing 80 mph in a 45 mph zone. I was scared out of my mind because DUI and speeding tickets are usually the hardest tickets to fight in court. I did my research to find the BEST lawyer to represent my case and I stumbled upon this law firm. I called and arranged a meeting with a woman named Michelle Welsh to discuss my case and to see what would be the best outcome moving forward. There was no hidden fees or beating around the bush, Michelle however did express to me that the judge would be a real pain and that she would do her very best to help my case. The retainer fee was $550 if I were to move forward with the process, she also explained to me if we went to trial there would be an additional $500. In my mind, I knew it wouldn’t get that far but you never know. I opted to hire this firm and I’m am so grateful that I did. Michelle had my court date adjourned so that we can have enough time to review my driving record and things of that nature. My driving record is almost clean with 2 points from previous traffic violation. I expressed to her that I work with people with disabilities and in order to keep my job I can not under no circumstances lose my license. Michelle said that there would be two possible outcomes. I would plead guilty to unsafe driving, get no points, keep my license, but pay a crazy fine. The second option would be to plead guilty pay a less crazy fine amount but I could lose my license and also incur points. It sucked either way but option number one sounded the best. Michelle communicated with me every step of the way. Fast forward to the day of court. Things went smoother then I had expected. The wait wasn’t long either. Mr. Alex Schmidt had represented me the day of court. Of course he went over my options again and I told him what was best for me. The judge called my name and Alex spoke on my behalf. My 80 mph ticket in a 45 mph zone was reduced to unsafe driving with 0 points and NO license suspension! However I do have to pay a $933 ticket , which includes court costs, fees and a driver assessment. The judge took off $100; my original fine would have been $1033. The whole incident could have been COMPLETELY avoided but we all make mistakes. I am happy because the outcome could have been much worse. I would absolutely recommend Lubiner, Schmidt & Palumbo LLC to anyone and I might be using their services again in the future. Thank You
