Editing my review. I scheduled an appointment to be prepped for court. I was notified twenty minutes before the appointment that the lawyer I was seeing was leaving. I had two days before my court hearing. I was referred back to the lawyer referral service with no time to hear back. I was ill prepared for court. This could have been handled differently for sure and 100% impacted my court hearing.

Rory Parnell’s professionalism and sincerity are commendable, and I am thankful for his exceptional legal service. He is a skilled negotiator and a staunch advocate for his clients. When no attorney would take my personal injury case & told me I could not win my case – Parnell, Michels & McKay said Yes they would represent me.

I had the unfortunate experience of working with an attorney from the Parnell, Michels, and McKay firm, and initially, she was exceptional. However, that quickly changed. I had a case with a strict deadline, and from the time I first met with the attorney on February 5, 2025, until I received an automatic out-of-office reply on March 31, 2025, I saw no progress. During this period, my window for filing the case rapidly shrank to less than 30 days, and I was forced to start over with a new lawyer. Despite my repeated efforts to reach out, I received no follow-up communication from either the attorney or the firm. This lack of communication and professionalism is a clear indication of poor business practices and a lack of integrity on their part.

I hired this firm a few months ago, and I am extremely disappointed in their service. I have attorney Julia as my lawyer. She stated in a phone call that if I emailed her, it shouldn’t take her more than 24-48 hours to respond. I’ve emailed her multiple times and waited weeks for a reply. I understand that things come up and that she’s busy with other cases, but not 3-4 weeks busy.

Being served with papers for a civil suit was a horrible experience and immediately extremely stressful wondering what was going to happen and how would I ever navigate it on my own. I made two very important decisions which completely changed the situation and my feelings towards it. I asked a trusted friend for a referral in which he said my best bet was to call Attorney Rory Parnell. The very best decision I made was hiring Attorney Parnell. From the first phone call, I knew that he would get the best possible outcome for me at the least possible expense and would look out for my best interest. I think what sets him apart most, other than being a phenomenal extremely sharp talented lawyer, is that he truly cares about his clients and he is looking out for your best interests. He was super responsive and took the time to explain every step in the process. He really dug into my case and did his research so that when we arrived at mandatory mediation he was well prepared and in complete control of the situation. He got the case dismissed and freed me of a massive burden of having a lawsuit hanging over your head. By the end of the process he felt like a friend who had stood up to a bully for me. He was so kind and so empathetic through the entire process and handled everything so I didn’t have to worry about it. If you find yourself in a situation in which you need an attorney I would encourage you to hire Attorney Parnell to represent you and know you are in very good hands.

Mr. James W. Hawthorne made me book a month in advance for an appointment, rescheduled my 10am to 2pm having me on redo my entire schedule to make it work all for him to deny taking my case. Complete waste of my time 0/5 stars don’t let the one star fool you.
