Virginia Busch, an attorney based in St. Charles, Missouri, has received mixed reviews from clients regarding her performance as a Guardian ad Litem. While some commend her for being kind, caring, and thorough in her approach, others express concerns about perceived bias and professionalism. Overall, those who had positive experiences appreciate her dedication to children and recommend her for her reasonable and attentive service.
Virginia was appointed as the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in my custody case. In my opinion, she appeared biased from the very beginning, prioritizing her own interests over the child’s well-being. For instance, she was absent from one court case, resulting in me having to pay for my lawyer’s attendance. Additionally, she failed to complete the assigned task by the judge before another court date, which was allowed despite her unfulfillment of the obligation within 4 weeks. This was unacceptable and led to another unnecessary expense for me.
As a child in 2002, Virginia was my GAL when my parents went to court over custody. My father wanted to get me out of my mother and step-father’s care due to multiple forms of abuse and instability. Virginia single handedly ruined my life by telling the judge I shouldn’t go with my father because there was nothing wrong with my mother & step-father. Even though 10 years prior my older sibling was removed from our mother’s care and placed with our father. I grew up alone with so much abuse, instability, and mental illness that it still impacts my life 22 years later. Virginia favors mothers even when it’s truly not best for the child. Avoid her if you want what’s best for your child.
Does not practice impartiality during mediation and heavily favors mothers. Go elsewhere if you’re looking for a neutral third party to mediate your case.
