Jody and her staff Alissa and Lynette are Incredibly good at what they do. My divorce case involved forensically finding financial accounts and they found every account! Jody is also well prepared and knowledgeable about going to court settlements and trial. She has excellent communication even after my divorce when I needed help. I highly recommend Jody and her staff, you will not be disappointed.
I would not recommend Jody at all. She urged me to take less than the state recommended for child support during my divorce, didn’t advocate for me, and then did not specify post majority support was needed on the paperwork. When I realized this was overlooked and consulted her, she communicated her fees to file a motion to ammend post majority support, despite the fact this was her original oversight. I decided to have the Friend of the Court complete a review instead (a free option that Jody never shared with me, but I found by obtaining a free consultation from another attorney). When I informed her I wouldn’t be using her services, I received a bill for “running the numbers.” She isn’t communicative, fair, or kind. Divorce is stressful enough. Please don’t add to your stress by hiring somebody who won’t fight for you and that you have to babysit each step of the way.
Jody and Lynette helped us through a tough loss of a friend and many end of life details with the estate. They were extremely responsive and even traveled a distance to help get paperwork finalized quickly. They answered many calls and questions that we felt went far above and beyond the call of duty. I would definitely recommend their team if you need help with estate planning and are looking for a fairly priced local attorney.
