I’m not sure why someone would pay for Met life benefits if we can’t use them or find attorneys that really participate. It’s been phone tag to get a answer for weeks and still haven’t got answers. Employers should quit offering or please don’t opt in.
Mike Van Tubergen did our estate planning and recently was my defense attorney. I was sued by a former employer b/c they “overpaid me” money they actually owed me (commissions). Mike went to bat for me and he found a flaw in the documentation and we won the case after going to civil court. It has been two years of pure hell, but I’m grateful for the dedication he put in.
Scott Sewick was very condescending and rude during our phone meeting. I waited two weeks for this meeting only to get nowhere. I told the receptionist at scheduling that I was using the MetLife Legal Plan (VTH shows up on the MetLife website when looking for help with adoptions). Scott treated me like I was an annoyance in his day. He said he didn’t know if this was covered by MetLife and his assistant was out to lunch. He told me three times he would call me back that day but “it would be after 4:00”. At 4:58 I called the office and left a voicemail. That was three weeks ago. I’ve never heard a peep from them. Very unprofessional. You should treat everyone like their matter is important even if you personally don’t think so. Would not recommend Scott Sewick.
