Proceeding with collections on a property that isn’t owned by us. Called to tell them it must be a mistake and we sold the property years ago and they said they were going to proceed anyways unless we prove the mistake. E-mailed a document showing them they have the wrong person and heard nothing back. Tried calling and left a message with no return call. Very unprofessional when you send someone collections stuff for someone else’s property debt and don’t correct the mistake or even acknowledge the mistake. Our realtor gave us the public document you failed to check. They should do their homework before threatening people.
