It appears that these folks were good at their job a few years ago, but that is unfortunately no longer the case. They seem to be oursourcing the bulk of the work to a rotating cast of entry level remote workers from other parts of the country/ world. These people were never familiar with the details of our transaction, or how real estate transactions work in general, or for that matter, even the basic tenets of professionalism.
I worked with Nicole Starck from this firm. I asked for details of title insurance and a week before the closing, but she didn’t send me anything including title commitment, which is a legal document she was supposed to share. She said she’d explain details at the closing, but didn’t even show up last minute for “wedding”. I’d avoid using her.
Dealing with SKM Title Company during our recent home closing was a frustrating experience marked by incompetence at every turn. From missed deadlines to inaccurate paperwork and even a major error that delayed the issuance of our proceeds check, they consistently failed to fulfill their basic responsibilities. Their lack of communication with our very competent attorney left us feeling uninformed and anxious throughout the process. Overall, our interaction with SKM Title Company was disappointing and highlighted significant areas in need of improvement. DO NOT use this company!
