Michael Theriot was the ONLY lawyer I spoke with over the telephone who listened to me during my consultation. I won’t go into specifics, but I found it amazing the vast majority of individuals I spoke with on this journey who were narrow-minded and self-centered. Michael Theriot presented as the total opposite. His follow-through could use a huge boost in attention to detail, but overall, he was able to help my family accomplish our goal. I almost rated this a lower star rating, as I sent a request via certified mail for copies of invoicing and have been flat-out ignored for several months. Update 3/23/24 Never followed up.
I was able to successfully adopt my daughter working with Mr. Theriot.
100% do not recommend. Filed multiple motions incorrectly, paid $4000 and never established paternity or custody as agreed. Complete waste of time and money, still had to hire another attorney to establish paternity and custody after paying him to do so. Does not fight for his clients, is in it only for the money
