Two days before a divorce related hearing, I flew to Chicago to try and meet with my lawyer, Mr. Stassin. He was booked with courts and meetings – ok, I get that. Then he refused to give me a 15 minute phone call to prepare. Later, when I owed him $500 dollars after giving him more than $4,000 he refused to take my calls at his office. Finally, he insisted and met with opposing counsel to get a mediator involved. My ex-husband claimed he was a mediator and I felt no need to involve another lawyer. Yet, he billed me for these meetings after I explicitly told him not to be involved in.any such arrangements. Awful experience-
