My finances attorney left another firm and came to Cordell. Where she was only employed a short time and was either fired or quit, we were never informed what happened, just that she was gone. The attorney that took over, Bruce, did absolutely nothing for our case. We have turned in piles of evidence against the other party to prove all of their points are lies. We have in total paid already over 11k during a process that has been dragged out by the opposing party. They have filed multiple motions to dismiss with no motive or evidence. They have not shown up for court appearances, when my fiancé has been to every single court date. We are behind in payment by less than what we have already paid out of pocket and have agreed to make a large payment in request they see through the last of the court appearances to prove our case, however today were informed by Bruce that management has told him the firm will no longer agree to continue our case unless the FULL amount is paid.
They definitely don’t give a shit about dad’s. They ruined my whole case and did nothing but leave me screwed with a bunch of debt. I was ignored when I reached out, and my concerns were ignored. My lawyer showed up late and unprepared to court and just rolled over.
I dont ant to do 1 star but I never actually got the services. I spent 150$ for them to tell me they won’t help me flat out in like 1 minute of talking I asked if I could get a refund…..months later still waiting. Not sure if they could of helped me, but the low review is for not following through on a refund I was promised
Expensive but good
Paid a significant amount of money for these people to help me though a divorce a few years ago. Now my ex is not complying with court orders and they want a retainer fee to send a letter. Ill hire someone else. Buyer beware.
The absolute worst. I’m still being charged 2 months after my case closed. Like everyone else is saying just stay clear of these leaches they’re not worth the money, get a real lawyer if you need one. All they do is charge your cards, change your lawyer any time they like, terrible communication. I wish I could sue them cause they’re going to make me bankrupt just cause they want to I guess.
I highly do not recommend them. Always paid my retainer. They kept asking for huge amounts on top of it. Marilyn was going to withdraw right before our big court date just days before the holidays. Paid her then she withdrawal anyway and still took 6 more months to get the divorce finalized after she said it was done. She said and promised a lot and did nothing. Very upset and disappointed. Seems a lot of people have had this same issue with them.
Run! Do not use. Marcee will dig you in hole after hole. If you’re looking for someone to show up to court like a deer in headlights then shes the one. So unorganized and doesn’t have a clue what to do in the court room. She will never miss a bill though! That’s about thr only part she has together. She prolonged the process for so long. Save yourself l!
C&C has a very talented set of attorneys, without a doubt. This is why there’s two stars, and not one. However, that’s where the good ends. C&C touts itself as being THE attorneys for men. What’s not being told, is the fact that C&C bleeds the men dry, financially. It’s the same type of corrupt system that the family court is. My son in law had Marcee represent him twice in court:
This place is a joke . Marcee told me one thing and as we went into court she did the complete opposite. She actually dug me into a bigger hole . Definitely do not recommend. They are extremely overpriced for accomplishing very little .
Choosing to retain my C&C attorney Marilyn Dye was the wisest choice I’ve ever made. She went above and beyond stemming from our first phone call. She was always overly prepared, organized, punctual and calm. I 100% recommend hiring Marilyn.
I have had a very professional and excellent experience working with Marilynn Dye. I’m at the beginning of my case but so far I’m very pleased with Marilynn answering all of my questions.
They do not care about you, your child or your case. You will go months without hearing from your attorney but have no fear they will not forget to bill you every 2 weeks while providing zero services. After a year the attorney couldn’t even tell you my child’s name.
I was upfront with my finances from day 1. I paid my retainer and 2 days later they ask for an absorbent amount of money again because my family court case would be extensive. I felt deceived as I had asked what they honestly thought about my case. I was given positive feedback only to be then told how extensive it would be.. They did not take the time to explain much if any additional costs added on. Maybe the case was just too extensive and too close to pre trial I’m not sure but I felt deceived and had high hopes for them.
Marilynn Dye, is the best ever. SHE IS ALL ABOUT HER CLIENT!!! She is very direct and makes you feel secure in what you are trying to achieve. She sat and listen and she totally got me and what i was trying to accomplish. When i finally stopped talking because i felt the need to vent at the same time, she finally spoke. Her words were calm and soothing and Vicious all at the same time. She basically told me to take a seat to my own war, i have never felt soooooo stress free at the hands of someone else handling my mess. There is not enough stars at the top of this page that i can rate her for the stress free relief that she has given me. My blessing goes out to Marilynn Dye at Cordell & Cordell Law Firm. I am 200% satisfied and know where i am going next time, I need a legal helping hand.
