Jason and his colleague Vanessa work tirelessly to ensure all questions are addressed timely and thoroughly. The best way I can describe my experience is family taking care of my family. I’ve trusted Jason with our most intimate details for the past 5 years and I do not regret one penny spent. But don’t take my word for it as l am a stranger leaving a review, just give him a call and you will see for yourself. Jason is knowledgeable and if there is something he isn’t sure of, he always gets to the bottom of it. His advice is practical, ethical, empathetic and understands the financial implications on people and does what he can to conserve your funds Like I said, he is family.
I do not write reviews very often, however I feel this review is necessary and important for it may give anyone needing assistance from a family law firm some insight on Stern, Perkoski, and Mendez. I found myself in a high-conflicted situation in regards to my parenting time with my 10 year old daughter. I was in desperate need for counsel, and was worried about finding someone who made me feel like everything was going to be ok. I had someone recommend speaking to Attorney Shay Formanek. I was immediately surprised at how fast Shay returned my initial phone call and was blown away from her willingness to have a prolonged detailed consultation with me on the phone for free. She listened to me intently, asked all the proper questions so she was fully able to understand my concerns, my thoughts, expectations, and details of the entire situation, everything! Shay explained to me what her approach will be to resolve the situation for me, and was very transparent of all the details that anyone can possibly want to know. Upon retaining Attorney Shay Formanek, I quickly realized I found the best attorney possible. I have had several other attorneys prior being that I have been separated from my daughters mom for 8 years now. I have always felt like just another client with past attorneys, they always felt un personable, were very difficult to get ahold of, and more importantly I never felt like they cared or truly had my back. Shay immediately started working to resolve my case. Her communication is impeccable. If I reach out to Shay with a question or concern, it feels almost immediate at times with how fast she gets back to me, and it’s almost always on the phone, because she wants to discuss my concerns or questions in detail. Every single thing that is done on her end or that she receives regarding the case she immediately contacts me to discuss it and makes sure I understand what it means and where we are at in the case. I have had prior representation from several other family attorneys as I stated earlier, and this review does not do justice on how amazing my experience has been with Attorney Shay Formanek. Her knowledge as an attorney understanding family law is beyond impressive, and the way she speaks and handles herself in court is amazing. I don’t have that initial feeling of panic and dismay that I had prior to initially contacting Shay, that I know most people have while looking for counsel. She has my back and fights for me, and she’s made that very evident. I am so grateful for Shay and I know anyone else would be as well.
Hello my name is Levon Williams, I would like to tell the world about Stern Perkoski & Mendez, whom I personally feel is the very best family law firm in all of Illinois, and I’m absolutely positive if Stern Perkoski & Mendez was in any other state in America they would be the very best there also, I’m from Texas I’ve been going threw a child custody battle since my child’s mother & I split up when my daughter was two years old she 7 yrs old to date. So I’ve been in court rooms a lot starting with me putting myself on child support just so that I could see my daughter, because her mother wouldn’t let me visit & see my daughter. Fast forward. My child mother absconded with my child from Texas to Illinois without my permission after numerous court dates of her, not showing up to court in lying on me when she did show up courts in Texas gave me full custody of my daughter, after she ran off with my daughter The judge gave me legal papers to come to Illinois to retrieve my daughter from the school that I found out she was in from hiring private investigators upon going to the school with the legal documents to retrieve my daughter, the school administrators the Saint Charles Police Department Saint Charles sheriff department, said my paperwork from Texas, which has jurisdiction over my daughter, wasn’t efficient. After calling at least seven different law firms, they couldn’t make me appointment until the next day. I call the Stern Perkoski & Mendez and it all started there from the receptionist Ms.Anna who took time to listen to me told me to hold on & not even a minute passed & she was back on the phone telling me that I could come in at 2pm. After arriving at the firm in oak brook I was greeted by Anna , jason & Vanessa I shared the paperwork from Texas told them what happened whn I went to my daughter school and they informed me that they could take care of it with out hesitation. The very next day I hired them they was very clear & upfront about everything from payment to everything that would transpire regarding my situation, I’ve never in my life came across such genuine people in a law firm ever. I mean this is more than just a law firm I was taken aback by the knowledge they showed just in talking to them.to shorten this up a bit bc I can go on forever with high praise about this firm , after hiring this firm they did everything that that said they would do & then some. The then some is after we went to court the same week & the judge in Illinois heard the case on an emergency basis & ruled in our favor for me to go & retrieve my daughter from the school she was attending, Jason left the courts and went to the school with me to make sure the school & all parties involved understood that the paperwork I have is legal & binding in the state of Illinois!! What law firm does that?????? That over the top for a client!! Thank you again Jason, Evan Compton ,Vanessa & Ms.Anna for everything especially for returning my daughter home to me!
