WORST lawyer in the world and I’d give -10 negative stars if Google would let me. To start off with at least one good thing about her, it’s obvious she has a lot of legal knowledge. However, now with all of the bad things, Jennifer Behme is an overhyped, overpriced, untrustworthy lawyer who uses those skills to maximize her own money profits and does nothing to make sure you get the proper defense in court or in a settlement. You could hire a lower priced lawyer who could have gotten better, if not similar results. There was one of many bad experiences where she knew a court order was approved for me to visit my kid, and my ex-wife’s lawyer was saying the order was approved so I could see my kid, but Behme waited a long time to finally tell me the court order was approved and could visit my son. Unfortunately, I listened to my ex-wife’s lawyer and got my kid anyways before Behme told me, so I could theoretically give good compliments to my ex-wife’s lawyer, (but won’t). Behme is also a master of not recommending anything, but sputtering a bunch of vague, nebulous legal facts that oftentimes takes her almost a week to type a letter memo that she charges hundreds of dollars to both mail and e-mail you. If you ask her to explain the memo, she’ll charge you more for explaining it. I also remember all the grammatical errors and typos in all those memos she charged so much for. She was also “amazing (insert sarcasm)” at not defending me in court, getting chummy with the judge and my ex-wife’s lawyer, watching me get walked over, but yet “amazing (no sarcasm)” in acting as my ex-wife’s second lawyer. As another disclaimer Belleville lawyers also appear to have a close-knit network to collectively maximize profits, so I would recommend looking outside of Belleville or the Metro East St Louis area if you plan to go to court with another lawyer in Belleville.

One of the worst family attorneys. Paid tons of money and it was very hard to get a call back or any type of responses about my case. I got more calls and emails about invoices but never about my case until the day before court or the day of court. It was 2 years and my case was still at a stand still.Nothing I requested was ever competed.I also felt she would prolong certain things in my case to please my kids father attorney. Many times I asked to bring things up in court and it was never mentioned.Please be careful with this company they will definitely drain you out of a lot of your money with no Communication, care, or results.

Ed Blake prepared some estate planning documents for me and everything was great. Mr. Blake and the legal assistants were wonderful to deal with. Everything was handled properly and professionally. They were careful to point out if I did not understand everything, I could talk with them anytime I wish before proceeding. They seemed competent and were more than willing to accommodate my wishes.

Took nearly 6000.00 from me and never did any of the things they were asked to do. They asked me several times if I wanted items sent over to the executors attorney. I told them yes with several witnesses in the room in November 2023 and ended up having to go to their office today February 15, 2024 and retrieved all the items that were supposed to be sent to the other attorney and hand delivered them myself. While I am waiting for a forensic accountant to look over what I was charged for and what work they say they did, I am having to start completely over with my grandmother’s estate. I have to relive the loss of the last living member from my father’s side of the family. Edward Blake Jr. Only spoke to me 2 times for a total of 30 minutes and his office would only tell me they would let the attorney know anytime I called with a question. And honestly I didn’t call because I never received any answers for any of the questions I did ask him and his staff.

I’ve had a family law attorney through these guys for over 2.5 years now. Never had issues making payments. They’ve seen my court case from the beginning to the end with no issues from me. I have a hearing in a couple weeks and have been unemployed for a couple months, unable to make any payments on my debt. I asked to have my monthly payments lowered to a more manageable amount and the request was denied. They all know I don’t have a job and can’t afford to make my payments at the moment while I look for work. So what do they do? They request I pay all of my debt in a lump sum and filed a motion to leave. On top of that, as soon as a decision was made in my case, my attorney pretty much washed her hands of the whole thing. Any concerns I had? Rarely followed up with. It takes 3 weeks or longer to schedule an appointment with her. This firm is terrible and they only care about money. They have no concerns for their clients and no regard for anybody’s well-being except their own. You could kill yourself and they’d still try to find a way to capitalize off of it. I’d strongly recommend going somewhere else for a family law attorney, especially if you’re a single father. You’ll just end up broke and worse off than when you started if you hire anyone from this law firm. There’s better lawyers around you just have to call around and find them. I was just unlucky enough to hire these money hungry thieves because my attorney sounded knowledgeable. Don’t make the same mistake I did

I was given at set price of $950 to draft a demand letter regarding commercial leased property. The Lawyer later charged me an extra $500 plus, and he has not drafted one letter, or even started for that matter. I wasted $950. They are over priced and charge hundreds for a phone call and it do the job you already paid them for. Not an ethical place.

If I could give a lower score I would I hired this law firm over a year ago. And absolutely nothing has been done with the case to my knowledge. I call for updates/to speak with my lawyer. And he is always either out of town or busy and will call back. But yet nothing ever comes out of it except for empty promises of phone calls back which NEVER HAPPENS!!! So maybe they will see this and finally get back to me.

I’ve worked with Mr. Blake for several years through my business. He’s clearly he an expert at his craft. Plus, his expertise, integrity and trustworthiness, is above reproach. Any type of a legal issue is never a fun thing to deal with. However, Mr. Blake and his office made the process much easier. I’ll continue to do business with this law firm. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Megan Gilbreth. I was very impressed with her professionalism and promptness in answering all of my questions. I would definitely seek her counsel again if needed.
