Attorneys seem good at law except they charge for initial consultation without the client’s consent. I was billed without signing a retainer or billing agreement. There was no agreement to bill hours. I spoke with the attorney by phone for 12 minutes regarding options renderable by the firm. A month later I received a considerable bill when no legal services had been rendered. Every other law firm I’ve dealt with has a retainer and billing document signed by the attorney and the client.
