My case was a little more complicated than others because I was legally divorced (in 1998) to the man I continued to call my husband. We continued as a couple and had two children (after our divorce). In May of 2021, I found myself in a separation battle regarding the division of properties we acquired during our relationship. I was referred to Attorney Marquez and made an appointment. During the first phone call, I felt she was sympathetic, professional, and compassionate about her work. Attorney Marquez was very straight forward and gained my trust. Attorney Marquez gave me a feeling of hope. Her assistants Clarissa and Vanessa were helpful by always making themselves available to take my calls, answer questions, and guide me thru the process.They kept me informed and updated regarding my case as it progressed. I remember telling Attorney Marquez in August of 2021, “I want this drama to be over before Christmas” and she achieved this for me. The final settlement agreement was executed in November. I am forever grateful to Attorney Marquez and her team for quickly resolving my case.
Hired mr. McPherson himself to represent me and never showed up in court to do so, he sent someone else, this was a year ago and still today I still have issues with the the way it was all settled, also we had a chance to recoup a lost day in court where the other party didn’t show, my other lawyer fought for the sanctions and got it approved by judge but left it on that table, never finalized the sanction at a cost of 9,000 for that day, big loss for me while everyone else made their money, they don’t really push for getting the most for the client, just the minimum to make u think u are ahead and in the end leaving it all open for the other party to come back for more money. After the case was over they also kept trying to represent me without a new contract continuously telling the other party’s lawyer that I was their client when in fact I wasn’t. I have the email proof of that…. Was being charged for on the job training and being charged double for half the experience, don’t waste your money get someone else, for the amount spent I should have gotten my house hold belongings better divided than I was advised.
