My husband asked for updates multiple times- called, texted, emailed. When they did respond it was “these cases take time” “we filed several months ago”, most of the time time NEVER responded at all. An entire 9MONTHS later when we fire them, then they tell us they never filed anything. Took our money and lied to us. Bunch of clowns. “Helping you when times are tough” LOL!! These guys are so bad, it would be funny if our lives hadn’t been put on hold because of intentional malice or horrible communication problems.
I was so scared and embarrassed as well as so nervous having to do a bankruptcy. Once Eric Backstrom took my case, it was not as stressful and he answers all your questions and the big thing is no matter how stupid the question you may feel it is he assures you it will all be taken care of. It was often hard to get ahold of Stephen Fisher. His assistant Helena Peralta rarely responded to my texts/emails throughout my case. I feel my case was treated as low priority because they knew from the beginning that my ex was willing and ready to sign over custody. Its frustrating when you reach out to your attorney as well as his assistant and weeks go by with no response. My case could have been resolved sooner with less money spent if I had gone with a different attorney.
