Saw their TV adds. Got rear ended. Had significant injuries. Called their number. Gave them the info. Told it wasn’t serious enough for them, but they had someone we could call or be transferred to. Hired that person. Paid most of the eventual “settlement” to the lawyer and our medical insurance. Basically a wash or worse. Short story is that the minimum liability insurance in California (and most states) is VERY low, less than 50k. So, if you get hit by someone with a nice car or a big truck, then they might have a large liability policy, BUT, if you get hit by someone with nothing to lose, (very common IMO), then hiring a lawyer is useless as there is no money to get, even if you deserve it. IMO Berg law knows this, but instead of telling us, they sent us to another lawyer willing to take some “small” change at our expense. We’ve learned our lesson, but beware people offering large gifts…
