I have an ongoing case going involving Parrish Jones. I’ve been waiting for the U.S. bankruptcy trustee to handle my settlement funds since late 2023, and I still don’t have them. The reason I’m giving Parrish this rating is a lack of responsiveness to e-mail and phone communications. The judge cleared the check to be mailed a couple months ago, yet it’s not here. I’ve already been waiting on this settlement since 2011. It’s disturbing how little the justice system seems to care about people.
Got back to me within 48 hours. Unfortunately they weren’t taking new clients.
We had an estate settled with Mitch. He said “This is a pretty easy case. If I don’t have this wrapped up by July then I’m not doing my job.” Took him until end of April the following year. Additionally his office did not follow COVID 19 precautions in the height of the pandemic. He would laugh about walking down the hall to the next office to see if his CPA friend could answer a question and finding the CPA on the phone. He used this as a reason to not having defined answers to the legality of a tax question. As an attorney, isn’t it your job to know the law? Just a delay and tactic to make more money for himself and his pal. Also annoying, he did NOT have property deeds done correctly as he had been instructed and then said when we went to sign paperwork “I can help you with that too if you want once this is over.” All parties simultaneously and unanimously said no. This is just another thing now that we have to do before it can be finished in our minds. At a sensitive time in people’s lives Mitch is NOT the guy to use. Estate settlement is more about closure and being able to move forward with the grieving process than it is about the money/materials.
