Criminal Court in Madison, Wisconsin, is a place where the majority of visitors report positive interactions with staff, highlighting their kindness and helpfulness during difficult situations. While some individuals have faced challenges, particularly with security personnel, many appreciate the professionalism and efficiency of others, such as court staff and attorneys. Overall, despite some negative experiences, the general sentiment reflects a commitment to service and support within the criminal justice system.
The vast majority of the people I met today were very nice! The people in the courtroom and the very nice lady who told me I could go home did a very good job. But the second I walked in the building I was severely disrespected. I was literally just going through security. Every single security line, be it tsa or a concert, is different. So I asked some clarifying questions. Do I need to take my laptop out of my bag? The lady in front of my immediately treated me with disdain. She was annoyed that I was trying to follow their rules. She said in a flat and angry tone “any laptops Kindles or batteries need to be taken out.” So I did just that. I removed them and tried to orient them the best I could and handed them to her. She then turned to a coworker who she (and I’m sorry if they don’t go by she but I didn’t get the chance to ask) was clearly training and said “this is an example of how people don’t know what to do here”. Holy shit bro I accidentally put my battery in a less optimal position for the box. And you think that is ok to say in front of me? In what way was I not a part of this conversation? I have done jury duty before, I was literally telling potential jurors where to go and what to do. I was raised by lawyers. I very rarely leave negative reviews but because they were training someone I feel a need to. I know the trainee felt uncomfortable when they said that. I could feel it. I responded “uuuuuuh ok?” Cause what else do you do when someone treats you like that. I was told “oh you can move on.” Absolutely not. I deserve an apology from this court building and that employee. She is hurting her trainee by teaching them how to hate the public they serve. So seriously whoever was on the right side of the check in desk today at 8 am was toxic. I almost had to stop her on my way out to tell her how hurtful that was but an apethetic person like that won’t care. I realy don’t want her to lose her job but please do not let her train people. She has clearly been hurt in a way that makes her biased towards the common people and it really sucked! To experience. I hope if you see me in public you would apologize. But I’m afraid many people have endured them and they have not sought forgiveness. If I saw someone respond the way I did I would immediately apologize. But she felt no pain. Thats sad. All I can be is sad. *Edit: I figured a one star review for one person isn’t fair. Like I said everyone else there was really nice.
Family Court is crooked. My ex hid our assets to keep me from hiring an attorney and then told a mountain of lies in court. So I was kicked out of the home where I raised my kids as the domestic parent for 9 years and separated from marital assets. SO THE FINANCIAL ABUSE WORKED. The opposing attorney, Cynthia Fiene, is unethical as hell and helped with the abuse. THE COURT DOES NOT CARE. If you’re a man, they won’t even consider the possibility that you were the better parent and they’ll assume you did anything claimed by your ex.
Disabled they will shit on you as hard as they can and not care thanks wisconsin
