On day one I was assigned to an attorney that was not well versed in Family Law, who ended up leaving the firm in the middle of my divorce process. When I was assigned to my new attorney, I got the impression that their plate was already full and that my case was not a priority. Meetings to prepare for hearings, review documents, or to respond to the other attorney were almost always last minute. I needed to have an expert in my corner to help me better understand the law and what precautions I should take to minimize my risks.
