When attempting to communicate during the process, I rarely if at all got a response, usually I had to get the info from another source. I never recieved the documents required to be passed on to me unless I asked sometimes several times. I felt being court appointed this lawyer did as minimal as possible. I never ever felt like my lawyer was my advocate at all. Murderer’s get better representation than my very simple case. I felt as though my lawyer was instructed and followed the other partys lead. Never ever putting any effort to respond with facts she could have to dissolve the other parties accusation. I feel her lack of care and professionalism was a detriment that can never be repaired for my children and I. These people take for granted how much power they have to help someone’s life or destroy it. I would have been better off representing myself!
