My mother needed paperwork drawn up for estate and power of attorney purposes. We were worried that it would be a confusing and complex process, not to mention emotionally difficult. But Ryan and his staff were so reassuring to work with! He spoke in a kind and nurturing way, explaining things simply and clearly. He asked all the right questions to make sure Mom’s goals would be carried through just the way she wants, even when she didn’t know what kinds of documents she would need. Her paperwork was completed in a timely manner, and it really felt like everyone at his office went above and beyond for her. Because of how well this process went, my husband and I will soon be seeing Ryan Jacobsen to get our own paperwork in order. It feels good knowing he has our back. I can’t recommend him highly enough! Thank you so much, Ryan and co!
Mr. Jacobsen and his staff treated us with professional and friendly consideration. Their handling of our recent document preparations was patient and thorough; all questions were clearly and thoughtfully answered; every email and phone call was promptly responded to; there was complete transparency about fees – no surprises; gracious referral to another firm for needed support.
This attorney was TERRIBLE! He botched so much with our parents estates, and would go months and months without being available or was out of the office tons. When we did finally get a hold of his office it was only for him and his staff to tell us (in written also) that he hadn’t filed papers or filed in the wrong county and was demanding a ballooned invoice payment (2 different ones, both different references and charges), for work he was going to have to redo for his mistakes, which camee only after we removed him as the attorney on record. We directed him to speak to the new attorney. This was in 2022. Today, he sends a threat email about wanting his money “or else”. He became a creditor once we signed a new attorney. He didn’t follow the protocol to have his bills looked at, therefore he missed the deadline for this. We owe him nothing more than he’s already been paid and his abusive tactics are unacceptable. I’ll be reporting him to the Bar.
