I had the unfortunate situation arise where I needed a family law attorney in Lynchburg to fight for custody of my 8 week old granddaughter. I am not a resident of the State of Virginia and was unaware of any attorney’s reputations. My husband and I retained Mary Chamberlain to represent us in what turned into a very complicated and difficult custody case. Mary was so knowledgeable in family law that she never had to research any codes, she knew the answers to my questions when I asked them. She never misled us, or ill advised us. In fact, I complained for 11 months about something she advised us to do, however, in the end, what she advised us to do had great weight on the Court’s final decision. I contacted Mr. Falcone about a civil matter, and he was anything but pleasant. He was arrogant, condescending, and belittling. It was quite insulting to be honest. I am uncertain as to how he made it to become a partner because he lacked basic people skills.
