Morgan sold me out! Morgan withheld that the only physical evidence in my case was tainted and inadmissible. I discovered this at sentencing. I said “no plea deal” because I wasn’t guilty; nonetheless, Morgan convinced me to take a plea deal because he said that I would be released immediately with 3 years probation – I made the mistake of trusting him without reading the paperwork. This turned out to be merely a request to the judge and not part of the plea deal as I was led to believe, which the judge denied. Morgan is arrogant and manipulative, in my experience. I only saw him and was able to speak to him about my case minutes before my court appearances. he was unavailable and he ignored my request to see him otherwise.
Warning Kent Morgan will sell you out. Not surprising for a prosecutor of 30 years. (note: Jonathan Nish plays the “Good Cop”) He (Kent Morgan)never responded to my repeated requests to meet with him and I only saw him for about 5 min at the hearings. He withheld evidence that the only physical evidence against me was contaminated. Kent morgan never said a word about that, I only discovered that after reviewing the court documents. The case should have been thrown out. Even after telling him I would not take a deal, he offered me a plea of time served and three years probation’ so I took it. Apparently this was not a deal made with the prosecutor but simply a request to the judge at sentencing. I served the full 5 years for a crime I didn’t commit. I paid a lot of money for that.
Jonathan saved the day! A group of friends and myself were cited for a crime that we hadn’t committed, but none of the prosecutors would listen to our side of the story or our evidence. With one phone call Jonathan called the right people and was able to talk sense to them. The charges were dismissed and now I don’t have the stress that this whole ordeal on my shoulders anymore. Would highly recommend Jonathan and Morgan, Nish & Associates to anyone who needs a lawyer who will stand up for them and the truth.
