Single moms, this place is not for you. I engaged with this firm well before I ever needed to file something. I had my initial consultation roughly in Feb/March of 2024 and I expressed to attorney Catherine that time was on the essence because my son’s dad was being manipulative with allowing me to travel with my son out of the country and I had to cancel many trips before due to his manipulation. From the very first time I expressed I wanted to terminate my son’s dad parental rights so I could have sole custody and not ever have to worry about my ex again (he never provided for the child) I expressed that I wanted to engage with the firm and do my retainer so that when the day the window to file opens we could do it right away which the attorney agreed to. Months go by, I don’t get a update at all until I call at which point she asks something around the lines of “what is it that you are trying to achieve with this process”… eventually that attorney left and I was assigned a different attorney who asked the same question and I reiterated myself and they understood. even more time goes by, appointments for which they never called me, many appointments rescheduled later and just no communication whatsoever… the attorney reaches out because we’re in the final stages of the process where he informs me that “we’re almost done for me to obtain custody for 1 year and I don’t get the retroactive child support I’m owed” because apparently, the other attorney didn’t include anything about child support which I also mentioned during call#1 and every other call with the legal team…. I am told that if I want to pursue retroactive child support I need to start everything all over. 1 year later and I got NOTHING of what I was trying to achieve…. and when I asked the attorney why only for one year when I requested sole custody and termination of the other party’s parental rights the attorney said “in the State of TX it would be very difficult for you, you would have more chances if you’re married and your partner adopts him because the state wants the child to have a father” dismissing the core reason of why I came to this law firm to begin with. No interpersonal, active listening skills whatsoever every step of the process. So if after reading this you still want to go with this law firm for you legal needs, may all the luck in the world be with you.
Falta de profesionalismo y seriedad. Me hicieron perder el tiempo haciéndome creer que tendría una cita cuando nunca la disque abogada tenía la intención de tomar el caso. Además de que raramente toman o regresan las llamadas, eso si solo lo hacen para cancelar porque la abogada estará muy ocupada tomándose vacaciones.
