I have known Cathy Lee since 2017 (over 5 years), as my attorney in a child custody case. Chronically overburdened by her caseload as a primarily court-appointed lawyer, she was unable to provide adequate representation. This resulted in consistently insufficient effort and negligible progress in my case (years wasted). What proved most alarming was her evident prioritization of maintaining favorable relationships with the judge, opposing counsel, custody evaluator, etc… Over protecting my legal rights. That is, she systematically compromised my position to avoid confrontation with said parties. The consequences? Years of lost time, resources wasted, and significant emotional distress. She put me through what amounted to collusion to coerce me into a settlement hearing against my express wishes. Despite my clear and repeated objections, she orchestrated circumstances to physically compel my courtroom appearance, then brazenly misrepresented my coerced participation as being “consensual.” I cannot in good conscience recommend her services to anyone requiring genuine legal advocacy.
