In 1991 this woman was a PD. I was 17. A simple theft, which I had never seen the actual complaint for until last month, as my county Sheriffs office suggested I request when i filed application for permit to puchase. I was pregnant at the time. She scared me with tactics that I would lose my baby if found guilty but pled not guilty (because I didn’t do any theft) etc. She slammed me with a class C felony, which upon talking to my county attorney in my state and my county sheriff and a few attorneys there in Columbia in attempt to appeal purchase permit despite all rights restored. They all say it should have been refuced to a misdemeanor not a class c felony, but she also set it so I couldn’t apply for an expongement either, on a theft charge mind you that i swore to her i did not do. But man did she do a number on me. I had nvr been in trouble prior nor to this day, not even a parking ticket and I’m STILL dealing w/ it today (32 yrs later), which has kept me from career paths I’ve attempted. I just filed an application for Pardon and a complaint for investigation into her practices as a PD at that time, and hope to bring investigation into many of her cases at that time if i was not the only one this happened to. If I ever needed an attorney today and she was the only one available, I would defend myself Pro Se because she takes easy wins and convinces you to take “good deals”. BTW, because of this, I spent 6 months incarcerated with lack of prenatal care and the most stress ive ever endured and ended up losing the baby just after my release. I have a few choice words I wish to say to this woman, but I live life how I think God would find fit for me when my name is called upon, so, I shall just leave this right here!
She works for the prosecutors not you. Spent big money with her and hugely disappointed. She just wanted to get the case over and wanted me to take the worst deal on table. Refused it told her to go back and do what I paid her to do. Finally got a better deal but it wasn’t because of her it was because I kept refusing what she was recommending. She works for them remember that no matter what you pay. She is buddy buddy with them ask her she use to be a prosecutor.
Great service, I was very pleased with the outcome of my tickets.Three tickets, all dismissed. Kay demonstrates a history of skill and knowledge to win your case.
