Every thing went as plan
I can’t tell if he was being helpful or just trying to get rid of me.
The fact that this attorney advertises as “estate planning and specializing in elder care law” is quite ironic. In my assessment this office has zero interest in ethical behavior or protecting one of our most vulnerable populations, senior citizens. Assisted an elderly family member with transferring her and her husband’s free and clear investment properties into the hands of a greedy out of town family member without consulting next of kin. This family member who benefited from the transfer verbally stated this was their “right and inheritance” yet neither party is deceased. This attorney, completed the transaction despite another attorney’s advice against it and without thinking of the client’s best interests since the property is a part of her and her husband’s retirement plan. Said family member (who now technically owns the property thanks to this attorney) is now in the wind and has not made good on promises to pay for the property, taxes, or violations out of their pocket but out of the pocket of the financially exploited in this case. The fact is this transaction was not financially smart by any means nor did it benefit the attorney’s client as they stood to gain nothing but lose everything. Despicable behavior!
