My husband just got off the phone with Eric, and it was the strangest, most unnecessarily abrasive two minute conversation I’ve ever heard. My husband’s grandmother passed away and while my husband stated his name and began to explain his Grandmother had passed and his aunt was not being forthcoming about information. Eric said “let me stop you right there, I’m not your grandmother’s ordained lawyer.” He said he did her estate planning. When my husband asked when and whom hired him he said he couldn’t give that information. My husband said he isn’t receiving any news about anything and his aunt gave him Erics name and number and stated he was the lawyer, nothing more. To this Eric said “That’s not news, I’m not the lawyer. So there is no news.” I understand if he is not in charge or responsible for anything. It’s the way he handled that conversation. I don’t know if other family members have called. I don’t know if he’s sick of dealing with my husband’s aunt or is having a bad day. All I know is he could have simply said, I am sorry for your loss but I am not handling the estate.” Why he handled my husband basic question with such an attitude I have no clue.
