Divorce Lawyer SA

I waited for about a year and a half to write this and after giving multiple chances for the law firm to rectify this situation. I wish I would have been warned/knew about this attorney and his sanctions prior to hiring him. Where do I begin. I hired him in January of last year. He had a paralegal at that time that was working on the case and said they find motions for alternative service etc that were never done. Advised that they had called and made calls to the child support office in Indiana that were never made but that I was charged for. No work was actually done. Then, led to a second paralegal that when I called after no communication for months had no idea about my case and said “wow you hired an atty to just change child support over states”. After months of battling, I was promised by the atty himself that he apologized that nothing was done and would personally over see my case. Inserts third paralegal, Idie. She will not return your calls, emails and if you call and she recognizes your number will not answer your calls. I am a single mother that dipped into my savings for this retainer trying to do the right thing. He does not care. Continuing on. I was supposed to have a court date finally at the end of last year. Never happened. Atty admitted that it slipped his mind. So, I was promised all of these things would be corrected and done. Over the course of the next few months I was given like 3 more court dates. Never happened. Every time it came up, they were not prepared and I was given excuses. I tried earlier on when no work was done to recover some of my retainer, but nope I was given promises that the situation would be fixed. To this day, still minimal or no communication. I had a meeting set with him for last Friday. He never called. Tex him, he never responded. You have to call from blocked numbers or other numbers for them to answer. If they recognize your number and know they have nothing for you they will ignore you. A year and a half later and no court date. When I asked for some of my retainer back, I was told it was used-how??? Nothing has been done at all. They will tell you that it has been, but I have proof and verification that it has not been. Please do you’re homework. He has sanctions. Lost his license numerous times. Admittedly has had a drug problem and is not willing to help you. While he’s continuously taking vacations, not available etc while using your hard earned money and does not care or want to help you. I promise you the negative reviews are accurate. Yes, his paralegal has wrote a positive review to try and boost his reviews. It’s a facade. I am not sure why this man is even allowed to practice still. Run as far away as you can. I am left without thousands of dollars, no court dates and no recourse.
