Jefferson County District Atty

I called the district attorneys office, as I do very often, because for some reason the lady who murdered my brother and cousin, court date keep changing for years now. Every time it changes I have to call the D.A. office to get a new date, no problem. We’ll I called today, 4/3/2025, and was transferred 3 times. Mind you I’ve been calling this same number for 3 years and they would tell me the new court date. So now I’m speaking with the lady on the 3rd transfer. She was a African American, the 2 people before her were Caucasian and extremely nice. So when the African American lady answers, I said good evening, may I ask whom I’m speaking with, she said “who am I speaking to?!” With an attitude! No lie or exaggerating. I said mam, I called you and I always get a name, what’s the problem? She said we’ll what’s your name?! I took a very deep breath because I was soo shocked that I was being spoken to this way. I’ve never experienced this from anyone in that office. I said my name is Mrs. Rice, she said my name is Sonya, how can I help you?! I took another deep breath. I said mam, let’s please start over because I don’t want to do this. I was sooo upset I wanted to cry, because of how she treated me. I’m calling to get a court date for the murderer who murdered my brother abd cousin, that’s hard enough. I shouldn’t or anyone shouldn’t be treated that way. After I hung up the phone with her, I immediately starting praying for her and myself. So thank you to all the Caucasian respectful young ladies who presented proper phone etiquette. As for “Sonya” you have a long way to go. Sincerely, a piece of the broken puzzle of the victims family left behind.
