Charles Bowes

Mr. Bowes was hired by my divorce lawyer to handle my mediation in 2014. It was one of the worst, most expensive, and most unproductive days of my life. Family/divorce situations are often not pleasant, and professionalism and preparedness are in my opinion, key traits for an attorney handling client in stressful, heart-wrenching situations. The morning of my mediation, I arrived to his office prepared and open minded. I suspected based on location and other inconsequential items (i.e. breakfast tray, ordered lunch etc.) that I was supposed to be impressed, but bells and whistles matter little to me. The morning started off and it was clear that this attorney hadn’t even looked at my case. He was reviewing our file for the first time, and by the questions he asked and the sluggishness with which he caught onto the key details of my case, it was evident he was not prepared. Nor did Mr. Bowes appear to be a sharp individual. For the price clients pay for attorneys this is incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable. The office talk about weekend outings with friends and the “good old boy” discussions heard throughout the day left me feeling sick.
