BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE!!! The following statements are of my opinion after 30 years in business and plenty of experience on these matters. Find another arbitor!!!!!!! This one does not hold himself to the same standards at which he judges and passes judgment of others. He was used for ARBITRATION for my business. I agree with others who submitted reviews who claim his primary focus is on things other than the facts. I was found at fault to a degree but not entirely. His ruling was that i was at fault for not providing itemization of charges on my invoice, despite me listing 3 items on the invoice with the price total of items listed. I noticed when i received his bill for his services, i was only supplied vague descriptions about emails etc. No itemization of who the emails were to or any details. Business professionals should avoid this attorney in my opinion if they are looking for a reasonable fee and fair outcome in my opinion. I am not upset at all about the ruling as i was only ordered to pay 1/3 of what the person asked for, the unsettling part is that he does not practice what he preaches in my opinion.
This guy only cares about making his money. The first thing I said when he answered the phone is that I had a question and he immediately shut me down and told me that I’m not paying him for his time yet so he basically wasn’t going to waste it on me. I obviously didn’t want him as a lawyer anymore after that. I know lawyers are supposed to be jerks or whatever but come on. No one wants to confide in you if you you can’t be the least bit respectful.
Joe Manuel has served my family over the past three years beginning as the personal attorney of my brother-in-law, then as Estate Attorney following my brother-in-law’s death and our personal attorney during resolution of property issues also resulting from my brother-in-law’s death.
