I am absolutely appalled by the level of disrespect I experienced while attending an appointment with Savannah today. This was the second time I’d been to the office to see her, and while she was rude the first time around, I chose to go back because she offered good advice and offered free notary services once the paperwork was complete. I deal with the public all the time so I know how to save face and prioritize my feelings. However, my appointment today was an absolute nightmare. She started off the appointment by saying how “disappointed” she was in me that I’d come back when we spoke previously about my divorce paperwork. Aka, she didn’t want to go through all of that again. She made some notes and attached them to the paperwork at our last appointment, but when I tried to explain to her what happened to those notes, she completely dismissed me and interrupted me before I could tell her what happened. She didn’t even give me a chance to explain that my Autistic five year old dumped an entire bottle of blue Hawaiian Punch on the stack of paperwork, destroying her notes and all of the paperwork. Then she proceeded to be rude again, stating that I was “interrupting her day.” Ma’am, you made the appointment with me. If you needed to reschedule, then you should have picked up the phone and called me before I drove all the way across Florence to come and see you at 9:00 in the morning. She was in a wreck last Friday and had to handle all that comes with that mess. I would have understood and gladly rescheduled. I completely understand. I’ve been there before. However, she decided to be rude, disrespectful, dismissive, and disgusting with her behavior today. I tried to offer to reschedule and come back, but at this point, she was just mumbling angrily about the appointment. There were a few other things that happened, but I ended up leaving. I refused to be spoken to that way when I’d done nothing wrong. As a receptionist, and a previous customer service representative, I know how to work with the public. And there was no need for her to behave the way that she did. I will be filing an official complaint after my experience. There is a level of decorum that is expected when you work with the public. If a customer or client is respectful and well behaved, there’s no need to take your frustrations out on them. Your outside problems should stay at home. You don’t bring them to work. I went in there with a good attitude, a kind demeanor, and a smile on my face. I was excited and ready to get the paperwork signed so I could officially file for divorce. There was absolutely no need for her to treat me with such disrespect and disregard. I gave her zero reason to be ugly to me. None. At all. I would admit it if I did. So, 10/10 do not recommend working with her. And if you’ve experienced half the disrespect that I experienced today, file a complaint!
For starters this service and the “attorney” provided was a joke because as my WIFE stated she refused to help fix everything I had filed for a modification for in December 2019 that didn’t occur until a year later. The attorney wouldn’t/didn’t object to the defendant’s, whose not my ex nor the mother of the children, behavior when she definitely had every right to do so. I wasn’t allowed to address the court at all I was told to just be quite. But yet this attorney was made aware I’m unable to work due to health issues and actively under doctors care and can’t even contribute to the house I lay my head in with my wife and our child so why she’d say I could make continuing payments is baffling to myself and wife. Another thing it was showed I never got anything about CS until DL suspension notice in the end November 2019 and immediately in December 2019 I filled for a modification via the reasons my wife stated! But as stated due to covid it was a year before I fianlly got a court hearing! This CS system is against disabled fathers fighting for SSDI and under current doctors careI and this “legal service” is very much obviously against men as well. But I’ve done as “attorney Heyward” said an attempted to make a payment every month of at least 10 to 20 a month which is all I can do but that’s still not good enough! But now that the woman who definitely behaves inappropriately at EVERY hearing has found herself in trouble with DSS and lost custody of one of the children I can’t even get help with stopping her getting money for a child she’s no longer the custodian over! But this service would probably just land me in more trouble being the advice given via the first use still was INAPPROPRIATE and has me in trouble.
Please God help. I am on disability SSI and a loving father. My baby mother has filed for custody and got all my time taken for no reason. I can not afford to hire a lawyer. I thought this was a gift from God but I got a letter basically saying they only help women. I feel so discriminated against. Fathers are done so wrong in family court and people are placed in positions to help and they do nothing. Not right. God bless all.
