Lawyers like Michelle Matthews are reasons why some good parents get stuck with bad custody agreements. Paid for a consultation with Michelle and it was truly a waste of time and discouraging. She was unprepared, nonchalant, kept looking at her phone the entire time, and advised us to pay more money to the custodial parent (who refused to work) in order to not have to pay more money, which made absolutely no sense. Took our case to another attorney and got a fair and just outcome that Michelle couldn’t or wouldn’t have tried to do. Perhaps the other attorneys at Strom Family are decent but Michelle was not and certainly didn’t seem to care.

Michelle and the Strom Family Law Team made the absolute best of an unfortunate situation. From initial consultation, to signing of the final paperwork, Michelle was there every step of the way to answer any question I had and to explain complex matters in ways that were easily understood to make the right decisions. When it came to areas outside her expertise, her connections within the legal network were invaluable to identifying the right options and ultimate path forward. But most importantly… she cared. I could tell from Day 1 that Michelle cares about her clients beyond just the day to day legal formalities. She understands the mental and emotional toll these events can take on a person and always made sure to check in to see how I was doing, especially in the tough and uneasy times. I cannot recommend Michelle highly enough when it comes to these matters and couldn’t be happier with her legal representation throughout the entire process.
