Despite some negative feedback regarding administrative interactions, the overall sentiment underscores her as a highly skilled attorney deserving of strong recommendations.
I use Almand in my custody battle and I have to say that she was a BEAST in the court room. Almand hands down the best attorney I have ever had. I am a man in one of the hardest states for men to win and she absolutely dominated. Do not listen to the negative reviews because she is the best.
I was appointed Almand Barron for my child custody case as a Guardian Ad Litem. She did nothing in the interest of my children even knowing they were in harms way with evidence. She did not do any investigations and made a very bleak report. I was asked by a judge if I believe she was fair in my case. Hesitantly I said yes, I was able to settle without her help and did not lose my children. I realized I could have told the judge NO to save future parents the risk. This review is to advise anyone unfortunate enough to get appointed her as a GAL to ask for someone more fit. She has no interest in the children just the money of the system.
Just called to set up a consultation and was ready to pay the $450/hr and the ensuing retainer that comes along with it, but the receptionist is about as rude as she can be. That’s the last thing anyone wants to deal with when they’re already in a spot to have to call a family court attorney. If the attorney’s are ok with this type of interaction with their clients, I can only imagine how they handle things once the client gets to them. No thank you.
