Meaney Maryann is an attorney and public defender based in Oregon City, Oregon, who has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from clients. Reviewers consistently express dissatisfaction with her unresponsiveness, poor attitude, and perceived lack of commitment to defending her clients, often suggesting that she aligns more closely with the district attorney than with those she is meant to represent. Many clients strongly advise seeking a new attorney if assigned to her, citing experiences of neglect and dishonesty throughout their legal proceedings.
never answers her phone and very poor attitude most of the time. is a public defender but doesnt do what’s in her job description. i do not personally recommend her for defense.
She is not only a horrible attorney, but an awful person too… She WILL NOT DEFEND YOU. She is a homing pigeon for the DA. If you have the misfortune of getting assigned to her, request a new attorney immediately. She will let you rot in a cell until you take a deal and she’ll continue to push out your court dates last minute. She doesn’t care if you did the crime or not. She doesn’t care about anything but appeasing the DA.
This attorney did not do her job as a public defender for the city of Portland or my boyfriend. She missed calling him for court dates when they changed causing home to get a warrant. Then said there was nothing she could do to help. Then she asked him not to tell the judge and that she was nervous about the FTA the city cops made up so they could bring him in because she knew the judge was going to be furious when he realized what was going on. I don’t know how they judicial system works in other states but Oregon has some seriously big problems with corruption and internal affairs is definitely needed to reign in these corrupt police that just do as they please without any regards to the law. Thank you for the opportunity to let others know whats going on in our city.
