The Law Office of Justin Rosas

I tried to retain Mr. Rosas for my uncle 3 years ago after he was arrested for a crime with 0 physical evidence and nothing more than the word of a “victim”. Naturally, given the circumstances of a wrongful arrest, I was upset. Mr. Rosas told me to call back when I was “less emotional” and hung up on me. I did call back after composing myself and tried to explain that my uncle didn’t understand the justice system well and had no idea what was going on. That he was in jail and needed representation quickly. Let’s just say that Mr. Rosas didn’t seem to see value in taking him on as a client. My uncle sat in jail for 18 months with no conviction because his bail was set ridiculously high (considering the lack of evidence and the low probability of him not showing up in court). His public defender gave him bad advice, which he didn’t know was such, and neglected him the entire time only going to the jail a handful of times in that period. After 18 months his bail was finally reduced enough for us to bail him out. Of course, once he wasn’t locked away like an animal, suddenly his defense made progress. 18 months later, that’s right… 3 years from his arrest and the DA has dropped all the charges. Because, like I said, there was 0 evidence other than 1 person’s word. Thank you Justin for not seeing the value in my uncle’s life and choosing to ignore our pleas for help. His case would have been dismissed years ago if you had just chosen to take us on. We had the money to pay you. But I guess representing truly innocent victims of our corrupt justice system just wasn’t on your agenda.
